So Sophie is having issues, like usual. She's had issues since before she was born.
She has not been sleeping well for a long time now, but the last few weeks have been really bad. She's been stopping breathing over and over again at night. Tyler and I both hear her sometimes and bonk her to get her to start breathing again. She gasps and chokes and snorts and snores and moves around a lot in her sleep. Position doesn't seem to make much of a difference.
I took her to the doc yesterday and her doc SueAnne said that her tonsils are HUGE. Like way bigger than normal. They're almost blocking her throat as it is! and they're getting bigger!
So tonight Tyler and I get to video tape her sleeping and have an oxygen monitor hooked up to her. We'll give the machine back to IHC and then they're fax the results to Dr SueAnne and then we'll see if she needs surgery to remove her adnoids and tonsils or if we can wait longer to see if she grows into them or they shrink. Hmmmm.I'm thinking they're going to have to be removed.
It might explain her tininess. She only weighs 26 lbs and is 2 1/2!! Gong on 3 in the begnning of March. Anyway, I do worry about her. She gets colds very easily and gets all stuffed up. She's very clingy and always tired. She eats a lot but doesn't grow. I hope that this helps her. Pray she'll be okay.
